Most vehicles built after 2018 require camera and radar recalibration after a windshield replacement. We handle it in-house — no dealership trip, no second appointment.
Skip calibration after a windshield replacement and your safety systems may not work correctly — even if everything looks fine.
Newer vehicles have lane departure and pre-collision cameras mounted to the windshield — usually behind the rearview mirror. When we replace the glass, we disconnect and transfer that camera onto the new windshield. Even a slight shift in position changes what the camera sees, so we recalibrate it to make sure it's looking at exactly the right spot — reading lane markings, tracking vehicles ahead, and doing its job correctly.
We're one of the only I-CAR certified glass shops in Colorado with the equipment to handle calibration on-site, using OPUS IVS and Launch scan tools with OEM software for domestic and high-security European vehicles. When you bring your vehicle to ACS, calibration is part of the job, not an afterthought.
Newer vehicles have lane departure and pre-collision cameras mounted directly to the windshield — usually behind the rearview mirror. When we replace the glass, that camera has to be moved. Even a slight positional shift changes what it sees, which means your safety systems may no longer be reading the road correctly.
ACS is one of the only I-CAR certified glass shops in Colorado with the scan tools, target boards, and OEM software to handle calibration in-house — for domestic vehicles, Teslas, and high-security European vehicles alike.
